Previous Chapter meeting, Thursday, May 29, 2008
We met at the BLUE STAR BREWING COMPANY, located in the Blue Star Arts Complex, 1414 South Alamo, Suite 105, San Antonio, TX 78210; tel. 210-212-5506, across from the Pioneer Flour Mill at Probandt Street, bordering the San Antonio River, on the site of the former downtown warehouse terminal of the MKT (Katy) Railroad. We met at ARINC to enjoy wine and cheese. The primary focus of discussion was an update on the progress made by the inter-Chapter committee that is preparing for the Regional Conference on 18 April. Hector Acosta requested and acquired volunteers to help with some aspects of publicity.

Thirteen of us met at ARINC to enjoy a "Beer and Tamales with Salsas Carbo Cave-in" at ARINC. The main topic of conversation was our regional human factors symposium, to be held 18 April 2008 in Austin. Past President Barry Goettl was presented with a certificate of thanks for his/her service from the National HFES.

Previous Chapter meeting, 28 September 2007.
Eight of us met at ARINC for cheese, wine and the annual business meeting. We installed our new officers for 2007-2008. We spoke about planned activities, including local tours and participation in a regional human factors symposium in 2008. We also discussed our role as host for the 2009 HFES national meeting and our desire to incorporate students into our chapter activities.

We met at Ilsong Garden and discussed a proposed By-Laws change, the upcoming election of officers for 2008, the possibility of a regional HF conference, and possibilities for local tours for Chapter members. Draft minutes are in preparation.
